CHRISTOPHER GENTILE, PHD
Managing Partner
Chris is a senior leader and industry influencer with 25+ years of experience designing, developing and delivering innovative eLearning experiences to the K20+ education market. He has extensive experience leading both startups and large companies through eLearning product initiatives.
Prior to founding Cognizeo, Chris served as SVP Product Development for Pearson Online & Blended Learning . He led Pearson's learning product design and development team of 300+ globally distributed content and software systems developers in strategic planning, product design, development and delivery of K12 and professional development learning content & LMS platforms. Chris also served as SVP Education & Product at Kaplan Virtual Education and co-founded numerous successful eLearning companies, two of which he sold to Kaplan. He has also led successful online schools and provided leadership and innovation to K20+ education and technology organizations on a variety of online, personalized/adaptive and social learning products.
Chris spent his early career as a teacher and as a school site and district-based administrator in Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
He holds a doctorate in Cognitive Neuroscience.
MARCY ULLOM, EdD
Head of New Initiatives and Strategic Planning
Marcy is an educator who has extensive experience in higher education and online curriculum
development/production in both K-12, undergraduate, graduate, and professional development courses and certificates. She has worked in both public and private institutions, a tech startup and a large educational global company.
Previously, Marcy served as VP Content Production & and Training for Pearson Online Blended Learning; VP Strategy & Innovation for FYI Online Learning, and as Associate VP at the University of Miami, Division of Continuing & International Education. In each of these settings, she initiated change that led to greater efficiencies, cost savings, and better communication across multiple channels. New initiative launches created new revenue streams and supported customer engagement in new products.
Marcy is also an experienced facilitator and trainer and has developed curriculum on leadership, management and organization and presented to numerous groups. She’s been very active with numerous leadership roles in community organizations in the South Florida area. Her doctorate is in adult and continuing education.
